Bao Mi Wallan in Victoria

"I was recently in Wallan, I was very hungover. The only worse thing than being in Wallan, is being hungover in Wallan. Once I completed some menial work related tasks, I got lunch from this Vietnamese joint. They were friendly, I ordered stir-fried vege noodles, which I'm aware isn't typically Vietnamese. They asked what sort of noodles, I informed them that I would like egg noodles. They deemed this acceptable. They then asked if I'd like sauce. It was at this point in began to grow concerned, as atleast some form of sauce is seemingly an imperative part of a stir-fry. Anyway, my meal came in two separate takeaway containers. Veggies and tofu with some sort of sauce in one container. And some boiled noodles in another. I'm not entirely sure why, and attempted to unpack the experience as I unpacked my two separate containers. They also gave me a disposable laksa spoon to eat my meal with. The entire experience was quite odd. I mean, I did get stir fried veggies with noodles, it was technically correct. How wildly literal, yeah? Admittedly, once I combined the contents of the two seperate containers, it wasn't bad. Strange joint, 4/5 for the eccentric format."

"I’ve been back multiple times and the food is always amazing. The combination pho is delicious with a rich, flavourful broth and tender beef. The crispy pork and grilled chicken banh mi are always perfect with generous fillings. They also have complimentary tea (selfserve) when you dine in. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Easily one of the best spots in Wallan—highly recommend!"

"The food is really delicious. The space is clean and airy. The customer service is very fast. The food there is seasoned very well and has a lot of nutrients. I tried the grilled pork bread and pho there and it left me an unforgettable impression. I will come back next time with my family and friends. Thank you for giving me a wonderful food experience."

"Delicious Food. Must try Crispy Pork Banh mi, Soft shell crab bao, Beef&veg stir fried noodle, wonton & chicken noodle soup. They just opened so there are a queue of 12 people. Took about 10-20 min to have my food served."

"Considering the size of the community I may have judged the food before ordering. But geez I was surprised. Best crispy pork I have had in years. The bao buns are delicious. The bubble tea was excellent. My only complaint is that their staff were too busy to clean the tables. The table I sat at was the cleanest one available but still had food crumbs and drink residue making it sticky. I will definitely be returning here when I'm back in town. 5 star food. But dropping 1 star for the sticky table."

"One of the best Banh Mi around, jam packed full of crispy roast pork and just the right amount of veg and sauce. The noodle bowl is my new favourite dish, so fresh and tasty - add some chicken spring rolls and it will not disappoint The staff are friendly and the service is great.
